Imagine having eye-catching portraits that recall happy and relaxed times on Cape Cod - to cherish for generations! As a professional photographer in Falmouth, I specialize in artistic on-location portraits of families and children - at beaches, gardens, and homes.
My commissioned family portraits include:
> consultation by phone to review location, clothing, and portrait style preferences
> portrait session of about an hour, with a variety of poses and candid style images to choose from
> in-studio review of proofs, and help with choosing images, sizes and finishes
> favorites optionally uploaded to a private web page for 14 days for ordering by guests
> one 11x14 lustre wall portrait - retouched and mounted (can be upgraded)
> a digital image for email and social networking sites
> option to purchase additional lustre or canvas prints up to 30x40 wall portraits
Selected images are retouched, printed on lustre paper or canvas, and treated with a protective coating by a premier imaging lab working exclusively with studios. Additional items for purchase include custom framing, collages, holiday cards, and more. Turnaround time is 3-4 weeks for most items.
The family portrait commissioning fee of $300 includes a retouched and mounted 11x14 wall portrait (may be upgraded during your proofs review session). A retainer of $100 will hold the day and time reserved exclusively for you, with the balance due at your session. Payment may be made by check or credit card.
Smaller families typically invest a total of $500 to $1,000 or more depending on the number, size and finish of portraits ordered, and if custom framing is desired. Multi-generation families can expect to invest $1,000 to $2,500 or more between all family groups. Digital files of proofs and purchased prints are awarded as gifts at various investment levels during in-studio viewing sessions.
I also offer custom collections. This includes:
- "Pregnancy as Art" - images sensitively and creatively captured in my natural light studio, with mother-to-be alone or with husband and children
- "Baby's First Year" - a collection of portraits of your newborn within weeks of birth, and at 6 and 12 months - at your home or my natural light studio
- "Precious Moments" - day-in-the-life candid images of your children during one or two half-days at your home - indoors and out.
Collections can wrap in prints, folios, albums, coffee table books, and more - tailored to your needs. Call for more information.
