Pricing and Purchasing
While digital technology makes it easy to share images these days, nothing compares with the joy of viewing an exhibition quality photograph on the wall of your own home or work place each day. They also make wonderful gifts, whether you choose the artwork yourself or order a custom gift certificate. Photographs are available directly from Dorene Sykes in Falmouth, Massachusetts USA. Art media options - archival pigment prints, canvas wraps, and metal prints - are described below.
PIGMENT PRINTS
Archival ink and photo paper: On a professional Epson 10-cartridge inkjet printer, pigment ink is sprayed onto fine art paper, ensuring high quality prints with fine detail, color fidelity, and remarkable longevity. This is the same technology used to produce photographic art for museums and giclée prints of paintings. Unlike less costly dye ink consumer inkjets used by many photographers, pigment ink prevents colors from fading or being damaged by water. Dorene selects the fine art paper that will best complement each image.
Prints may be purchased as is, or matted and mounted. A single mat is custom cut to enhance each image. The mat and print are expertly fastened to foam mounting board to prevent warping. The mat is optionally signed, then the matted print is sealed in a cellophane clear bag for safe storage, transport and gifting. Only higher quality acid-free photo paper and materials are used to ensure that each work of art will not yellow over time. If properly cared for, the artwork will look like new for well over 100 years.
Pigment Print Pricing:
up to 8x10 inch image - $40. with 11x14 mat/mount - $80.
10x15 inch image - $65. with 16x20 mat/mount - $120.
12x18 inch image - $80. with 18x24 mat/mount - $150.
Mat sizes above fit standard 0ff-the-shelf frames, or you can contract with a professional framer.
CANVAS WRAPS
Offering a contemporary, painterly look, archival pigment ink is sprayed onto premium, thick canvas fabric. The canvas is wrapped around a 1.5" deep hardwood frame and comes complete with dust cover and hardware, ready to hang. Unlike consumer labs that use cheaper non-archival ink, thinner canvas fabric, and often inner frames made of cardboard (read: canvases with poor color and clarity that fade and sag in humidity), we partner with a premier photographic lab that offers high quality, archival Canvas Wraps. This means that our clients are guaranteed to receive canvas wraps with clarity and depth of color that will last for generations.

METAL PRINTS
The newest art medium, Metal Prints offer a magical, vibrant luminescence. We partner with a premier photographic lab to offer the highest quality metal prints. Unlike most consumer labs that use thinner aluminum, our prints are created with a dye sublimation process on high quality ChromaLuxe aluminum, with a coating that creates almost a 3D effect. The ultra-hard, scratch-resistant aluminum surface is available in a brilliant white gloss, satin or matte. It's waterproof and can be easily cleaned with a microfiber cloth and ammonia-free window cleaner, such as our recommended Sprayway Glass Cleaner. Each metal print comes complete with a wired frame mount so that it floats 3/4" inch out from the wall, ready to hang.
